What She Does
Barbara is a facilitator, community and group mediator, executive coach, and consultant in the fields of leadership development, team effectiveness, conflict resolution, and community engagement. Her life’s work is to help individuals and groups navigate challenging landscapes that can prevent them from reaching their highest visions.

Where Did She Learn Her Craft?
Barbara has had amazing mentors and teachers.. She spent two years with M. Scott Peck (author of The Road Less Travelled) working on his Community Development Process. Barbara also spent a decade working with Stephen Covey (author of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People) in his organization, The Franklin Covey Company, where she taught leadership and organizational development courses.
Barbara has studied with Peter Block and incorporated his approach to community development. In addition to being a CTI (Coaches Training Institute) Coach, Barbara has done coursework in the Harvard Negotiation Process approach to Conflict Resolution, Daniel Goleman’s Emotional Intelligence, Matrix Leadership, Kim John-Payne’s Social Inclusion Approach, and Motivational Interviewing.
Barbara holds a BA in Sociology and Human Services, an MA in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology, and a certificate in Gestalt Process.

What About Her Personal Life?
Barbara’s home is frequently the gathering place for her rich community of friends. She is a lifelong learner and tends to read several books simultaneously. She loves to sing, dance, hike and travel.
